Hotels in Amsterdam can be very expensive. Looking to keep your costs in Amsterdam reasonable? You may want to consider a 2 or 3 star rather than 4 or 5 star hotel. In Amsterdam especially often I feel that time spent in the hotel is wasted. I would rather be out there. I have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels, and so naturally, spent a little more time in the room, sat around the lobby. Now I can visit these hotels from the comfort of a nice long walk from my humble, yet home feeling favorite hotel, the Hotel Brouwer, or the Hotel Cornerhouse, or many other quality hotels listed here.
