Amsterdam Central - Cheap Amsterdam hotels, coffeeshops, smoking ban, clubs, escorts, red light district sex clubs, tobbacco in coffeeshops and bars

Most coffeeshops have setup a smoking area. In this smoking area, you can smoke tobbacco, marijuana, or hash, or mixed. But you cannot smoke anything at all, outside of this area. In some cases this refers to the internet station for example, may be in the non smoking area. Most places have a sign up NO TOBACCO ALLOWED but are not stopping you putting tobacco in your joints unless they see you of course. Obviously don't leave packet of cigarettes on the table. One coffeeshop welcomes all smoking in the main room. I found this odd, as they seem to be the only one - De Kuil, right off of Damrak. Cigars are welcomed as well. They also don't mind you only sitting with a drink and smoking which is the case always. Alot of coffeeshops, the smoking area is downstairs, like in the Dolfijns. This is one of my favorite friendly coffeeshops. Some lounges that are smoke friendly, these are not coffeeshops:

Some coffeeshops do not allow tobbacco under any circumstances. These include:

1. Coffeeshop Central, small place, great space cakes though, try them. As it is a small shop, it is easy for them to check.

2. Hill Street Blues coffeeshop on Nieuwmarkt have a sign requesting all customers "Before sealing your joints please to get a member of staff to check it to make sure it's tobacco free". 
3. The Doors. I was there and noticed the bud tender telling patrons no tobbacco allowed after they started to use tobbacco in their Marijuana joint.

Basically if you can get a balcony you can smoke there. Most hostels are not banning smoking.
